Discoveries And Adventures - Sample 2

A 2nd sample set of pictures from my upcoming Discoveries & Adventures plug-in for Morrowind. Mostly showing the new Harbe-Samsi Ancestral Tomb and my new balloon from last night, which I’ve been busily tweaking to avoid it getting the jitters as you fly. It came down to having to give the player a levitation spell, because you kept wanting to fall from it. I also removed your ability to use the controls, like when you first meet Hircine. Plus, I had to work out how to create a root collision node in NIFSkope, which I haven’t done before, and also make the collision mesh invisible, which I worked out in the end, by comparing the settings to another mesh which had been done properly. With collision on the balloon’s basket and support rods, it became too shaky while you were flying, and I wanted to make it a more smooth experience.

2nd row, left: Ooh, a spike trap! These spring up from under the sand covering the floor, so you can’t see it. That took a bit of scripting to do.
2nd row, right: Another mounted head, like the ones in Solstheim. This time, a Winged Twilight in Tel Aruhn.
3rd row, left: Flying around Pelagiad. This is a fixed route within the one cell to prevent any cock-ups and extra scripting. The script for this was quite long, but I wrote it nice and neatly, so it was easy to follow. It still has to be extended for the quest related to this balloon.
3rd row, right: The balloon on its pedestal. You’ll eventually have to pay a dude to ride it.
Bottom left: The Gnisis branch of the Adventurers’ Guild. Yes, that’s boat hanging from ropes on the ceiling.

Yep, so I’ve only done about 12 of the planned 40 quests so far, so it’ll probably be December at this rate before it’s done! I may do some while I’m on holiday, if I remember to bring all the files for my laptop PC.
