Ancient Magic In Silence

Relics from a time long passed, the Varla Stones remain as quiet reminders of a faded civilisation. (Something like that anyway. )

Varla Stones are an enchanted artifact created from meteoric glass, and it translates to a “Star Stone.” They’re found in several of the Ayleid ruins of Cyrodiil, and fetch a pretty high price. They can also recharge your magic items, at which point they will be destroyed.

It’s another crack by me, at one of these really cool objects from The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion! Made with Art Of Illusion. I tweaked this over my last effort, to try to make it more like the in-game meshes. I would REALLY like to have one of these created for real, and I have some ideas on what would need to be done, but I need to ask at a place nearby that does metal work, what kind of cost would be involved, and how possible it would be. I’d also need some kind of crystal cut for it as well. I think a heavily included form of quartz may be the most suitable. I’d also have the top and bottom as separate pieces, possibly with magnets to hold them together, so I could insert a button battery and L.E.D. to light it up. Anyway, if I do go ahead with such a thing, I will definitely have a photo of it here at DA.
